So I decided today to take the debadging plunge on the 'hoe. I removed the driver's side chrome/stainless fender trim, and found underneath that it had worn through to the primer in a couple places. My question is, has anyone ever painted their fender trim? I was looking at the "Shadow" black chrome paint from Dupli-Color, but I'm not sure how that would turn out. They also have "trim" paint, but my truck is black so not sure how this would look.

trim paint is almost like a flatblack or a satin black. No means anything near gloss black like your truck..

Buy a red scuff pad for paint and throw a couple layers down with an type of GB spray paint. itll be fine

+1 on the BG.

I did the black chrome on my trim, my Kon is black too, and didn't like the way it played with the black paint, 2 different shades. Did trim over in BG and liked it better. I also added 2 coats of clear when done.

Thanks for the responses. I think I am going to first try to use some scratch paint to fill in the worn spots and see how that looks. If it looks bad I can always go back to the trim.
