Parking brake

Is it OK if I release the parking brake severely? I mean till it makes loud noise and goes back very fast like the vintage cars?

Well, I mean not to release it genteelly, but hardly leaving it to go back very fast ..

Mine does not float back all the way or go back gently, but does pop right back with a little slam. I like it that way. I also know it is adjusted correctly and working as it should.
