Hi folks.

Have a 2018 Tahoe. Trying to find part number for the housing or trim that goes around/behind the tow hooks once they are installed. It's the piece that has the slot that the hook passed through so the entire rectangle cutout isn't open. Can anyone help?

Thanks

Unless the trim piece is already under the delete cover??? I'll have to check tomorrow to confirm that I'm not chasing after a part that doesn't exist...

Looking at a parts catalog on line through gmpartsdirecr.com, it looks like it is a single piece that goes across the front bumper cover. It appears that there are two versions of the part, depending upon what semi-autonomous safety options you have on your Tahoe. I would recommend that you get with your local parts department so that they can tell you which one would be appropriate for your Tahoe. They will need your VIN in order to do this.

Thanks for reply. I have the RST package and already have the lower valance with the hook cutouts. The openings are just covered with delete covers. I plan on popping those covers off to install hooks, but I'm expecting the big rectangular opening to not have that flap trim that surrounds the hook. I'd expect it to be just a square opening. Hope I'm wrong.

The parts pages I've looked at only show the valance, which I have installed (plus delete covers) and the hooks. Hope I'm mistaken and the trim that has slot opening for hooks is behind the cover. Wife has truck out right now or I'd investigate.

Here's back side behind the cover. Doesn't look like there is a trim piece to surround the hook.

Unfortunately they aren't knock outs (you could cut them out but then you're left with the hole you don't like). You have to replace that entire piece to get what you're looking for. I have the part number at home in my paper work but it's probably faster if you search for it. I think its the part number for the Z71 lower facia. Most of the images are incorrect on the web but the parts guy at the dealership should be able to confirm the numbers. I'll try to update this evening with the part number I have.

Yes, you'll need the new cover as if you cut the holes out of the existing one for the tow hooks, it will look terrible. I tried it originally when doing my tow hooks. I've posted the necessary part number before in a thread somewhere around here but can't find it right now. Try doing a search on here and it should come up.

Darn, thought all along they were just covers for the hooks! Bummer. Appreciate the help.
