Looking for assistance for part number for replacement rubber 'gasket' that is attached to body but between body and lift gate. Mine keeps popping out at bottom is becoming a real PITA. Think its time for replacement. Thanks

Looking for what folks have done with 15 year old wipers -showing their age. Rattle can primer and hit with flat black? Again, thanks in advance.

Love this forum - keeping them on the road and looking good!

I have nothing for your gasket question. For the wiper arms, I've lost count of the number of them that I've "refurbished". The southern sun bakes the finish off of them and I usually repaint them when the primer is showing through, long before they actually rust. I pop them off, clean and sand them smooth then prime and paint with quality paints. I prefer satin black cuz flat looks like they're at the stage just before the paint wears off and gloss doesn't blend in and can create a distracting glare.

Wiper blades...sure you can paint them but the spring and spray nozzles would still be worn. The following is what I did.

I dont have the part numbers off the top pf my head but You can get GM original equipment wiper arms for around $15- $20 a piece. $25 at the most. Try amazon or eBay. Don't get the Dorman ones as they rust within a short time. Factory arms are much better. The OEM arms are stamped and made by Valeo.

I don't buy any APDTY stuff. Most of it is overpriced Dorman. Some Dorman stuff is ok but stay away from the wiper arms as they rust! GM wiper arms are epoxy primed and electrostatic coated. You will thank me. I have first hand experience with rusting wiper arms.
