I installed a Pedders 2/3 lowering kit early this year. The struts, shocks, springs, sway bar links and bushings, bump stops were all replaced. Now 6 months later one of the rear shocks is leaking bad.

When installed there was no mention of a rear shock mount kit needed for the GSR 9587 Foam cell rear shocks. Did I mess up and sould have installed a lowered shock bracket or did the shock just fail?

With Pedders USA bankrupt is there any warranty available?

Any comments would be appreciated.

I"m not sure about that kit, but on a 2/3 it's always a good idea to do the shock relocator so your shock stays with the same amount of travel. That's probably what caused it.

Relocators DO make a difference in ride quality as well. I can attest to this first hand.

The shock is positioned more vertical and not working against itself.
