I have a 07 2LT Tahoe and I am looking at getting a performance chip to give it an extra boost. If you have one let me know what you think about it and what gains you saw

Black bear performance for chip. They're a sponsor here. You can get more info on their website.

Chips were used on older vehicles, but GM changed them out to PCMs (performance control modules) in 96, and ECM/TCM (engine control modules and transmission control modules) in 07.

It's funny, I remember in 96 when OBDII came out and people thought performance was dead because you could no longer "chip" your vehicles.
Didn't take long for the folks with large brains to crack the code and open up controls to tweak and tune every aspect of the vehicle's brain through that same OBDII port.
I still have the ECU out of my 92 yukon with a jet "stage 2" chip in it (replaced it with a stock one because I couldn't pass DEQ) if anyone's interested.
