I had the same problem recently. Every Tahoe I found with the 2nd row bucket seats was missing some other option that I simply had to have.

I wonder how hard it is to replace the 2nd rwo bench seats with buckets? I'm sure it's been discussed here before, but I haven't searched.

When I was looking for the burb the 2nd row captains was a must have for me!

I wanted 2nd row buckets in my Excursion. But I am glad I didn't now. The center armrest folds down with cupholers in it, and it's nice. The bucket seats also would have reduced the capacity to 7 people rather than 8.

I like the 2nd row captains (especially with kids) so that we don't have to move car seats to fold seats down so that people can get to that 3rd row. With the captains they can just walk back there and it's much easier in that case.

The problem with the 2nd row is that it HAS captains. I wanted a bench because we don't usually have the 3rd row in at all. And with two kiddos in carseats you are all out of space.
