pinstripe removal and fender trim removal

Just bought a 2008 Suburban Z71. I'm not liking the pinstriping and want to remove it. What is the best way to safely get it off. I tried just peeling it off, but that got old real quick. It also has some cheesy chrom (or what used to be chrome ) molding on the edge of all of the fender flares. Im wanting to get rid of those as well. Any recommendations?
