Pioneer in dash and headrest monitor issues

I have a Pioneer AVH P5200DVD and 2 9 inch TView head rest monitors...Is there a way for me to mirror everything I do on the in dash, or at least have the monitors do something more than just saying no input all day

Does the pioneer have a tv out function (mirror)? I don't know much at all about DVD stereos, but I do know that when it comes to computers and phones some do have tv outputs and some don't.

I would contact pioneer and see what they say about a mirror function.

Your Pioneer does have a video out RCA on the rear of the unit. For the TView monitors, this will depend on what they actually are. Are the units strictly monitors or DVD built in (if built in, is there a DVD player in just one or both of them?).

Are these factory headrests retrofitted with separate monitors and external DVD, or full replacement headrests? They will have an input option most likely in any configuration, but the wires may be missing or hard to get to. If the installer only intended them to be used with their own player (assuming they have DVD), the separate harnesses with audio/video input RCAs may have been left out altogether. If you can provide the model number of the units, I can get you more detailed info.

Majority of headunits now a days only output when you are playing a video...... Now i have seen a couple that if you leave the dvd in the headunit and then switch sources the dvd will keep playing to the monitors but not on your headunit screen..... not a guarantee but some will work like that
