Plasti-Dip the whole car?

I checked out dipyourcar.com and watched a video of them plasti-dipping a whole car and I'm kinda interested in this. Have any of you done this? I know tons of you have plasti-dipped grilles and trim etc but I haven't seen the whole car. I'm wanting to go from silver to matte white. I'm wondering how this holds up and if it's going to turn into a nightmare for me or it really is durable and will look professional.
I've looked into wraps but they cost a bit much for what it is. This also looks very easy to remove and reapply if there is a bad section/scratch.

My neighbor had a line-x'd silverado. It looked good. Not sure if it's the same look though.

I've seen an older pickup that was rhino lined completely. It looked good, but not for me. I'm sure that the rhino liner material is much more durable than the plastidip.

You can reduce plasti dip to be sprayed out of a paint gun which would yield better results then spray cans. I do not know remember the specifics with it but remember there was a ton of info on doing it.

Rhino lining and Line-x are completely different.

I could never convince myself to RhinoLine a entire car. That stuff does look great but for a Daily Driver the extra weight alone.....

Also, it is permanent. Looks good on a truck's "truck" ie. offroad type.

NOT a Escalade.

Your best option is Wrap.

On the PlastiDip.... I would ONLY do it in black. I looked into this before.... I read where some guy did a "follow up" after 6 months of living with it. He said the stains ie. bugs, bird crap, other crap, etc. stain the PlastiDip. Also, it starts to turn yellowish in color.

PlastiDip also has to be applied evenly to look good, which is hard to do on a billboard sized truck. Uneven textures reflect uneven light, which looks ghetto. The stuff has also to be applied thick to be removable in "sheets". Otherwise have fun cleaning the stuff.

So do it in black, or wrap in white.

It's a kit they sell with their own gun they develpoed with wagner. I'd never rhino lino the thing ...too permanent but the plasti-dip can be taken off if i hate it or need to redo. Just wondering if anyone has done it. I know it's an escalade but it's an 07 now so not worth as much any more

I definitley wouldn't plasti-dip ypur whole car would take forever and you'll miss seeing the paint on your esky shine

Yeah screw plasti dip, i dont like plasti dip at all it doesnt hold up at all if i were to do anything it would be vinyl wrap.

Plasti dipped my front emblem over a year ago and it is still holding up perfectly

I wouldn't do it to my escalade, just b/c it's a luxury vehicle, and think matte colors are best left to sport cars.... BUT i do have a porsche cayman S that I'm willing to try out that kit with.... For less than 400 bucks seems like it's worth a shot, and I can take it off after a month or two fairly easily.
