Plastic trim under the front bumper

i was wondering if anybody has taken the plastic trim piece off from under the front bumper. ive heard that it makes the tahoe look higher off the ground but i was just wondering if anybody has done that and has pictures. any input would be great!! :)

I have taken mine off for the winter monthes and it does make it look taller but it does expose the mounting clips that the trim mounts to. Some members trimmed the piece shorter. I might be doing this to mine.

It looks ok but the mounting clips make it look bad. That is way some members trim the piece shorter so it just covers the clips.

supposedly the air dam assists with engine cooling by creating a low pressure area just behind the bumper...this helps "pull" air through the engine bay

i know some people have removed theirs and i dont think they suffered any adverse affects on cooling...i can see this not affecting anything because if you look at the Z71 package there is barely an air dam that is only the width of the front tires

i dont think it would make much difference but i just wanted to spread the knowledge if you didnt know...if you did then i will shut up now
