Hello all. New to the Forum. Just bought and 07 two weeks ago. Needs new struts up front and shocks in the rear. I have done a lot of research mostly on this forum with a lot of good results. However I am having issues with a few things on the front suspension. The RPO is zw7 premium smooth ride stuff. I understand about the rear spring and load bearing shock. But on the front suspension what is different than the standard z66 or z71? I am looking at replacing upper strut mounts while replacing the struts. All the upper struts mounts that I find and a lot of the struts say excluding zw7. My understanding was zw7 was only differences on the rear suspension though. I was going to order the Rancho Quicklift Loaded Struts but did not want the Cali lean and the .75" Rear spacer does not work on zw7 rear so I ordered Bilstein 5100(24-186940) Adjustables for up front. Will these work on zw7 front? What is different about the front end on the zw7? Thank you for the help!

Per Shockwarehouse.

Premium Smooth Ride: indicated by the RPO code ZW7. This suspension uses a conventional suspension in the front, but the rear uses a self contained, self leveling Nivomat shock in the rear. ZW7 equipped trucks come with a softer spring in the rear since the Nivomat self leveling system does some of the work or holding the truck up. Replacing a ZW7 Nivomat unit with a standard shock requires also replacing the spring. Otherwise the truck will sag in the rear and have a much harsher ride and potentially dangerous handling.
