Ok I have purchased alot of equipment to completely overhaul my sound system in my truck but I have one issue I hope someone can point me in the right direction. I am putting in a double din screen and a 5 channel amp my problem is with hooking it all up so the onstar and door chimes still work. I have found many adapters that you can use to hook it up to bose amp but my problem is I will be using no speaker wires. I am running all sound through the 5 channel amp with rca's. Is there an adapter that uses rca's rather than the speaker wires?

There are modules that allow you to keep your chimes that use a separate speaker isolated from your audio system. I've heard they sound like crap though. As for as your Onstar. There's no reason to even bother with it 'cause it doesn't work anyway. Any of the analog Onstar units (IIRC older than 07) have been antiquated due to the FCC analog to digital transition for cellular carriers.

Thankyou for your help. I was wanting to retain onstar for resale value and never did even check it to see if it works lol
