All:

Throwing up a hail marry here and needs some help with my 2005 Yukon Denali. My rear Break Pads need replacing and the previous owner must of upgraded the Brakes to Akebono because the rear Caliper is dual piston and is stamped with Akebono E4527 A50. The problem I am having is the Pad design does not match Factory rear pad design. I have taken the pads to all the major big box stores and no one can figure out what pad I need because they don't match what the system states should be in my truck. I also matched up the Caliper mounting bracket that's on my truck to what all the box stores have and they are completely different.

I'm taking a guess here but I'm thinking the previous owner bought an Akebono Brake kit that came with Calipers, Brackets and Pads. If anyone can help me locate the proper pads it would be greatly appreciated. Right know my $40 brake pad repair is looking at a complete swap back to factory for a few hundred dollars. Really don't want to do that.

I've searched the web and came up with nothing and couldn't find anything on this forum when I searched. I've uploaded photos from my Truck:

These are the rear pads that everyone is telling me is stock rear pads for my truck. Notice the extra slide that slipes into the mounting bracket. Mine dont have this and the factory ones are slightly wider and longer.

If anyone can help me it would save me a ton of cash. If anymore info is needed please let me know. I'm at a loss

Thanks Fless! you've already helped me more than 50 others including google when I searched E4527. Seems to link up to the Monroe pads I found as well: Monroe DX974 That have the same dimensions as mine. 6.8"x2.4". think I'm on the right track now.

Good deal. I looked on Akebono's site (assumed, too, that you had) but the search results were nonexistent; don't know why the calipers don't come up on there. I think you can get many brands of pads in that configuration once you know the number.

BTW, love the ruler, in 10ths and 50ths.

Yeah your PDF saved me! Just a 974 series Pad offered by many brands. Did go to Akebono as well with same results as you...Nothing. I worked on a lot off cars in my time never came across a pad issue like this. Thanks for your help and good eye on the ruler! Its a type 3R Ruler. Best Ruler ever! other side has 32nds and 64ths

Merry X-Mas and thank you for your help
