Did plugs and wires today. 125000 on original plugs, and wires. Plugs were deff worn, but still ran fine.

My question is on plug wires. It seems the ac delco brand require the type of coil for the right set.

At Auto Zone I got the Bosch set. They did not need to know type of coil. Is this exclusive to AC Delco wires. Whats the deal plug going to coil different? Wire size? Everything seems to fit fine, and runs good. I dont really notice a difference running better it ran good before we will see if milage increases.

If you are going to change plugs may as well do the wires if you got a 100k on them its near impossible to get the wires off with out screwing them up about 50/50 chance.

The coil difference would be the lenght of it..Gm has used 2 different coils on there "coil near plug" setups... Here is a good thread that shows the difference :)
