Anyone know of a place to buy just one spark plug wire? I changed my valve cover gaskets 2-3 weeks ago and in the process of removing one of the spark plug wires (passenger side, furthest back) the rubber split where the skinny wire meets the larger part that goes over the plug. I didn't see anything exposed and it drove fine after a test drive so I assumed the wire didn't need to be replaced. Over the past week or so I've noticed some hesitation when I step on the gas from a dead stop. Also, yesterday my check engine light started flashing when I accelerated on an interstate on ramp, along with a strong exhaust odor and severe lack of power. This was really odd because it happened randomly in the middle of a 30 minute trip and hasn't happened again after that... I even tried to duplicate the issue but can't. The light never stayed on but I pulled a PO300 code, multiple or random misfire(s). I guess a starting point would be to replace that damaged wire even though I really don't know how a little split in the rubber could have adverse effects with nothing exposed... maybe they are just that sensitive? Regardless, I replaced all the plugs and wires about 14,000 miles ago so I really don't want to spend the money on another whole wire set, but can't seem to find anywhere that sells single wires. Any suggestions are welcome, along with ideas of what else could be causing these misfires if the wire doesn't solve it. Thanks.

if u don't want to by the whole set, your best bet would be to go to a junk yard and snag one of a wrecked one there.
