I unfortunately was hit in my denali last Monday. I was backed into while driving through a residential area and the damage was kept to my wheel and wheel arch on the passenger side (no apparent damage to drive line). I have now noticed a loud pop noise after shut down and even when idling after driving some. it seems to come from the underside rear and sort of sound like the exhaust when cooling down but waaaay louder.

Anyone have any ideas so I can somewhat point the body shop in the right direction when they are fixing it up? Thanks

Could it be an evap purge valve? It is around that area. Also look over your gas tank real well for signs of damage.

I should have included that sorry. Wasnt overly hard hit and it was the back wheel and fender that took the hit and I would say the wheel took the brunt

back of arch
