So here recently I've been hearing a popping noise coming from my front end. It happens after the Kon has been parked and I reverse out of the parking spot I hear it pop....It feels to me like its binding up or something....its like I can feel it binding as the truck is beginning to move and then it reaches a certain stress then pops, after that I hear nothing. doesnt seem to do it during normal driving. only seems to act this way at slow, sharp turns.

Opinions?

It might be a ball joint, they typically pop when they have gone bad.

Twitch, are you stock ride height? lifted or lowered put more stress on ball joints. It does sould like a ball joint. You could jack up the front and see if the dust covers are torn and grease is coming out, if so it probably shot. Try to move them around and see if you have any play.

Yea man. Stock suspension with 33s. I'll get it on a lift this weekend and see what I can come up with....I have a lift that I can drive on and use a creepers to move under my kon but I was wondering if I can use that or do I need to get the wheels off the ground?

That sounds more like it...does it worse on hills when backing up.

if the sound is coming from driver front you can jack just that wheel up. i get the tire about 6 inches off the ground and slide a pry bar under it and use that leverage to see if you can get the wheel to move at all. or you can take the tire completely off and use the pry bar right around the balljoints. you want absolutely zero play, heres a video where you can see a bad balljoint and a good balljoint. but also remember to check your upper balljoints as well!

My front end pops when I'm about to change the oil....I give all 11 or so zerks a shot of grease and it stops.....

Hate to ask, have you greased her lately? I know I get lazy and don't do it ALL the time and I get rice krispies in the front end.....
