I'm sure it has been asked and I went ten pages deep without seeing much.

Got a 2004 with Bose 6 disc and rear DVD. Is it possible to swap out a newer (GMT-900) factory head unit (hoping to gain maybe bluetooth or at least aux) for my current one and retain things like steering wheel controls/rear dvd?

I already put the aux kit on it, but it's not a real elegant solution and just looking to take advantage of newer features as well.

Thanks.

No they use a completely different wiring system. Cheapest option is to switch out to an aftermarket unit.

You have tons of aftermarket choices, why would you just live with what you have?
