Does anyone have any pics of OEM Denali wheels that are powder-coated? I'm putting on 22's this spring/summer and I want to have my stock wheels powder-coated black to match the Denali for winter. Thanks

I don't, but would like to see pics also. My rims are peeling and corroding, and I am considering doing this when the condition worsens. I assume the chrome has to be removed prior to powder coating?

I was thinking about it, and my wheels are in great shape, I may just try to sell them instead and buy some cheapish all black ones to run in the winter. Not sure yet.

Do you live in a warm climate? My rims were in brand new condition when I bough them. A few winters later, they are corroded and peeling.

image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg image.jpeg Just got done painting my daily drivers (sonata) 18" wheels. The clear coat was bubbling, dogging and peeling BAD. Lots of work but cheap compared to new. Especially for my Hyundai that I won't keep much longer. Turned out nice though.

Meh. Middle of Ohio. We get both heat and nasty winter.

That looks sharp! I did that to a car I had once but they chipped easily, that's why I was thinking powder coating them. But probably for the cost of having that done, I could sell mine and buy different ones.

Yep that's why I didn't go he powder coat route. $50 worth of paint and sand paper looks good for now

Oh, you're lucky your rims still look new.

Treehan - Thanks, and painted rims look really good. I think if we went this route, I would have them powder coated bc I plan on keeping our Denali until it's too unreliable for my wife to drive with the kids. For now, the rims are 20 footers and still shine when clean, so holding off this until they are worse.

Saw an interesting job done on somebody's at the mall lol. Looks like they took some OEM 2007+ Yukon wheels and painted part.
