Can someone tell me whats exactly done in the process of powdercoating. One guy was telling me that they Literary have to destroy the finish, Prep it so the coating would hold. He told me that i can expect to pay about 400 bucks. Does this sound right?

Thats sounds about right. $400 is actually a pretty average price. It also depends on the color you are trying to do it.

thats a decent price, i have been qouted like 100 a wheel to sandblast each wheel and then powdercoat a simple color on the wheels. WHen they sandblast it they are literarly destorying the finish on your wheels, they will take it down to a bare metal finish, if they dont sandblast it the powdercoat will not stick and it wont last long.

I love them only things i can say about powder coating is it takes time 1-3 weeks matters who dose it and what they think on avarage 1 1/2 weeks. And make sure you specify High gloss black that will match your paint if not they will be low gloss or matte
