My fiance has a 2004 Yukon XL with power memory seats. The driver's seat has been creeping forward, for either driver setting, where it will not go back as far as it previously did. The seat also wants to go forward as far as it can when the key is turned off for either driver, so we have to use the forward/backwards switch to get it back as far as possible. It's getting harder to get in and out, and we're worried about being closer to the dash and having the air bag deploy.

Is there anything that I can check on my own, or does this sound like a dealer-only situation?

Thanks much!

My wife's rainier did this a couple of times. Have you tried resetting the memory seats and erasing the current settings? For some reason this worked for us as well as turning off the easy exit setting by using the steering wheel control. IDK if you've tried this or not but like I said it worked for us but may be two completely different issues

Thanks, Derek. No, I haven't tried resetting the memory seats to erase the current settings... is that found (by everyone but me) in the manual, or how do you do a full reset of the memory seats?

ya it's in the manual. Wife has the car right now but IIRC you start in park and press down either both the 1&2 seat buttons until you hear a beep or just one at a time until a beep to clear it. The easy exit is accessed by the (i) button on your steering wheel the holding the back/erase button on the bottom right
