I hate to take the door apart unless diagnosis requires it. It seems like the actuator tries, but fails, to push the door lock button up to the unlock position. If it's already unlocked it has no problem pulling it to the lock position. If pushing the lever by hand, it feels no harder to push than any of the other lock levers. Is this a lock actuator problem or something else? And while we're on the subject, where are good online places to buy parts like these? I'm very experienced with my bimmers (I've had five of them) and I know where to buy just about anything for them, but I know nothing about trucks lol!

unknown at this time.
the actuator get old and do that. Get the part number and look on amazon or rock auto for the best price. You will most likely need a pop riveter as well as a $2 rivet or two from the dealer.
