I have searched the net and many threads in this forum regarding power seat installation, known issues, etc...
I bought my son a 2006 PPV Tahoe.
It was cloth with rubber floor and AM/FM radio.
After completely gutting it I am not in the process of installing carpet, overhead console, center console w/rear radio, leather seats, DVD player with overhead mic and reverse camera.
The 1st hurdle is the power seat wiring configuration.
With only movement function and passing system diagnostics (avoiding seat belt chime issue or light on dash) I have a couple questions:
- 1st the seat belt chime
Which wire do I splice from the seats into the vehicle wiring harness to ensure the seat belt / pressure chime works correctly? - 2nd seat heat
After reading several threads I am forgoing the seat memory
I would like to get the heat working (seattle gets a little cold from time to time)Which wires are the primary seat heater wires for both the vehicle and the seat? - 3rd deep technical forum
Is there a GM site that contains all the wiring diagrams and vehicle information similar to Toyotas pay site? (techinfo.toyota.com)
I look up information so often for my lexus that I have an annual subscription. It is a true one stop shop for anything technical relating to their vehicles (documentation, videos, instruction on every level of engineering, etc...)
Hoping for something like that with GM but haven't found it yet.
