Hey everyone,
I've got a problem with my power steering that I just cannot figure out what caused it.
Last weekend I pulled a trailer with my Tahoe for oh a good 500 miles or so. Had absolutely no problems. I get to my house and park my 'hoe for less than a day. The next time I get in to swap the trailer with someone, I had absolutely no power steering what so ever.
Now my major confusion about this is what actually broke, or got messed up. I really find it hard to believe that it's the pump simply because I replaced it over the summer. And the last time the pump went out it whined and groaned a little bit before it was completely shot.
Does anyone think it may be that the gearbox is shot? And does anyone know how to find out if it is the gearbox that's the issue?
Please please help! It's incredibly hard to drive my 'hoe without the power steering, and I drastically want to get it fixed before the weather gets nasty.
Thanks for the help!
Nate
