Need some help tracking down a power steering leak. I have a 2004 Tahoe, 5.3, 2wd, and towing package. The leak seems to be almost dead center under the Tahoe. I check the power steering fluid level (and all the others just in case) and they all appear to be good. At this point I am unable to see where it is leaking from. I am guessing the pump but not sure. Are there any other places it would be leaking from? I do not see any evidence of leaking from up top. Thanks.

Added pick of the top and bottom of the pump. I don't see any leaks. I also added pics of where I see evidence of a leak but cannot tell where its coming from.

Considering the gear is bolted to the left frame rail, I doubt it's the pump. If you have a skid plate, I suppose it could be leaking from the pump onto the skid plate, then running towards the center. I'm not sure about a power steering cooler. If the lines run over the skid plate, or over the center of the truck, I suppose that could be a possibility.

What about a leak from the transmission cooler lines?

Also, what about the possibility of a leaking brake line?

In the 2nd picture, I see the fluid dripping off the center link (relay rod). Just about that are some lines protected by a plastic cover. I can't remember what's in those lines, whether they're electrical, brake, or transmission fluid lines.

It leaking from directly above those covered lines. The fluid color is the same as new brake and power steering. Not red like I am used to seeing for transmission. I was able to see a little fluid on the bottom most pulley.

But, power steering cooler....I never would have thought to look for one. Will have to look for that. Thanks all.

after cleaning everything up and laying down a fresh layer of absorbent material I do no see anything leaking this morning. I'll keep watch where I park at work and home to see if it starts leaking again. Thanks all for the ideas of where to look.
