The steering on my NNBS Yukon XL 2500 is super heavy. Not that I think anything is broken. Just, driving it around town, turning in and out of driveways and parking spaces, feels like it takes a massive amount of force. Especially compared to my NBS Denali.

Has anyone here updated the power steering pump or done something else on their 2500 trucks to make steering a bit lighter?

My wife hates driving the thing because it's so laborious.

Agree with James. I can spin my 2500's wheel lock to lock with my index finger. Something's not right with your system.

Welp, guess I'll get a mechanic friend to check it out. Thanks.

in my tahoe if you had just pressed the brake pedal and go to turn the wheel (think getting ready to back into a parking space) the steering will be super heavy. On mine you have to give it a second in between applying the brakes and turning the wheel- I think because of the hydroboost system. Then again the pump and hydroboost have 220,000 on them so maybe that has something to do with it.
