Pressed or welded?

I am unable to get my truck up on a rack right now but I need to know if my upper control arms have welded in bushings or can they be replaced. Need to be done but would like to use energy suspension components.

They are pressed in.

With those polys you use the old metal shells, so whether they are welded or pressed they go back in ...

Thanks, the info I have was vague on that fact and I have not seen some myself. I have alot of work to do on this truck and I'm spending about 4 hours a day researching everything to ensure absolute perfection of the long term improvement and drivability of this vehicle. This is just one of many things to fix.

I have some pics when I did mine, I ended up doing them in a long weekend ... I did those, sway bar end links and ball joints all at once. I had done spindles, new bearings and pads prior to that ... if you had those read to go doing those at the same time wouldn't add much time.

I mind as well point out now mine is a 2wd, and I've works on LOTS of rear wheel drive Chevys ... it's the same with bigger parts, if your's is 4wd don't take any of my advice. LOL
