Price on installing drop

Ok been a really long time since I had to do a drop. Last time I did it I had a friend that worked on it and it was like 300 to install it. Well I am calling around some places and they are askign to charge 800, 500 or so to install kit. Just wondering what you guys paid to install the kit. I do have a friend that has a lift in his garage and works for chevy but never has done drops on a Tahoe or Escalade. So he is going to look into how to do it.

I could probably do it as well. But finding time to do that with twins is very hard, plus detailing two cars a weekend really takes up all my time.

I did my Belltech 2/3-4 on my burb in my driveway in about 4 hours so install was free. Probably could have gone faster but I didn't rush anything and wasn't in a hurry. Luckily, the wife was gracious enough to watch our 3 little guys while I did it No way would I pay a shop to install it. It's pretty straight forward to be honest. With that said, you get to KC and I'll do the install for $200 for ya

Well, then I think I will set some time aside sometime soon to do it then. I just wasn't going to pay that amount to do it.

The rear springs and shocks literally take about 20 minutes to do. It's the front that takes the longest not because it's hard but there's just more to do. Are you doing spindles or drop struts?

spindles so that is easier not taking apart the strut

Yeah, that'll make the front faster, too. I did drop struts because mine needed replaced anyway so that took a little longer than just doing spindles. I think you could do this drop in just a couple of hours I'd imagine
