PRNDL not showing?

Hey all,

Just purchased a 2003 Tahoe z71 and he gear indicator does not show at all. The letters are not there but the odometer does work and show.

I've read about it being a fuse if both are not showing but what if only the gear indicator is not showing?

Common issue. Cluster has to be taken apart and solder reflowed. I'm sure someone will chime in with better specifics.

Resolder the joints. Or you can send it off to one of many people to do it for you. If you do that, I'd go ahead and have them replace stepper motors unless they've already been replaced (the gauges go wonky very often).
