So i bought a purge solinoid. I tried linking it but it didnt work. This is the part of the emmisions system that is mounted up on the intake. Question is does anybody have a trick to getting off the plastic line. I dont have any special tools and havent tried it yet. Im thinking the clip is kind of like the fuel lines. But im not sure. Any help would be great.

Just a follow up. I was able to get the line off without any special tools. Cant totaly explain how but i pulled the clip out 1/8" or so with my pocket knife and lifted up at the same time. Snapped right back on with out any hassle. Hope is solves the engine light

Ok so just went for a ride. Bam! Check engine light pops on. Wtf? Same code. PMC P0420. So i guesse im at a loss here. I havent thrown a gas cap at it yet. Could it be the cats? Truck has 120k on it. And the tail pipe has a wipeable black around the insside. Just tired of piecing this toilet along.
Anybody got anymore tricks
