Putco third brake light don't buy it.

Paid 300+ for my putco chrome third brake light. After 6 months or so I just notices lack dots in the chrome. I went to wipe it with some compound and guess what the chrome finish that you pay so much for wipes right off.

I called putco and they said oh so sorry for you... Deal with the company who sold it to you we don't deal with the public at All.

I can't believe the finish was on the outside of the lens and not the inside.

Believe me it wiped right off. No scrubbing At all.

Hey I just had the same experience with magnaflow.
These bigger companies don't deal with their warranty first hand they have the retailer do it. So that was not an unusual response I'm sure.
The company who sold it to you should replace it. Even though it will just happen again.

Maybe one of the guys on here who details could help you put a sealer on it. Or better yet have it replaced and get a paint shop to put a clear coat over it to protect it. Just a thought.

I have access to paint n stuff. I had the chrome tinted one and I can't recreate that in the shop. I just wiped the whole chrome off now its a clear brake light.

Well yea I was saying the company you bought it from should replace it. It's only been 6 months there has to be a warranty it's just that putco doesn't do the warranty work.
