Q: How Can I Clean My Lens After Smoked LED?

2007 Tahoe w/factory tail lamps
Had a LED bulb fry in the housing and smoked up the lens. Now the lens is dull due to the carbon or whatever that built up. Any ideas on how to clean it out? Running water with dish washing liquid just made it smell nice but didn't clean it out. LOL

I would try meguiars rubbing compound but I've never delt with that though

It should wipe off no? If not get some mr clean magic eraser. That thing will do wonders

Problem is the crap is on the inside of the tail lamp housing not the outside.

Yea put a stick in there with magic eraser and wipe it around til it cleans
