Qi charging center console? I am attempting to build a Qi Charger center console lid.
I have the solid type lid and bought the suburban style with a built in storage area in the lid....
I take it out to my truck to see if it will swap easy, and the damn hinge is different, grrrrrr..... I think I can figure out the hinge difference....

Has anyone successfully done this?
I found a Samsung charger EP-NG930 more powerful than most, and it will charge my phone easily even thru a thick plastic case, so I assume it will go thru the lid of the console if I glue it inside there....

I wanna put 2 inside the lid so I can charge 2 at once....

I have thought about something similar. Can't help you with the lid as I already have the one with the cubby.
The critical part about the charger is that you have to ensure the phone is in the right spot for it and that it doesn't slide around while driving. I haven't yet figured out a was to do this in a way that I don't have to rebuild every time there is a different phone needing to be charged. What are your thoughts there?

I figured I would use rubber cement to glue a lil strip to hold the phone where it needs to be on the rubber pad... I wanna make mine able to charge 2 phones maybe 3 slots.... The chargers I have bought have 2 coils in each one and they are powerful enough to go thru a case and still fast charge... so as long as I get them in the right place, centered, I should be 'good'. I also bought a 'fast charge' socket to supply them... https://www.ebay.com/itm/Dual-QC-3-0-USB-Fast-Car-Charger-Socket-Outlet-Type-C-iOS-Phone-Charge-Cable-US/264548358268?ssPageName=STRK:MEBIDX:IT&var=564290341215&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649

I took apart my wireless charger... looks like it will work, but it has a fan inside it, that was unexpected, now I question how hot will it get and will that be a problem... It will take me another while to progress farther, life gets in the way, but soon, soon.... :)

Although I don't have your fix for the console lid swap issue. Lol
