QTP exhaust cutout size

Good day gentlemen,

I would like to install electric exhaust cutout for 2009 tahoe. The stock diameter exhaust size is 2. 3/4 and i do not know which cutout size is better 2.5" or 3" because 2. 3/4 is not available in QTP?

I would just do 3". I have a new one for sale,$140 shipped, if you go that route also.
