Question about 06 yukon denali xl steering

Does the yukon in question have a rack and pinion or a steering box? Does anyone know the correct answer to this?

some one said "The 06 should be rack and pinion and that all 2003 and up yukon were rack and pinion."

I have a 2005 SLT and it has a steering box with pitman arm/idler arm, and tie rod ends.

I just went to O'Reilly Auto's website and entered that I had a 2006 Yukon Denali. It does not show anything for rack & pinion steering, so I think you were told wrong.

I have the exact same model. Mine is steering box. As well as the pitman/idler arms and tie rods.

One of the major changes from NBS to NNBS was the change from Recirculating Ball steering to Rack-and-Pinion.

Thanks guys, looks like i need to go out and verify. One guy sent me pics of his and he has rack and pinion...im baffled
