Hello Everyone,

I am seriously considering the Rough Country 3.5 inch lift for my 2010 Tahoe Z71. I was curious if anyone has this lift and replaced their struts and shocks? I tried searching for struts and shocks, but haven't really found anything that fits the truck.

Is there is a need to upgrade the struts and shocks with such a lift? Also, for those of you with this kit, have you had any issues with daily drivability? I live in Northern Va., so I am wondering if parking garages, etc. would be an issue.

Sorry for the stupid questions. This is the first time I am lifting a truck.

Thanks in advance,

Chris

The RC 3.5 is basically a spacer lift that can use the existing struts and shocks. If you take the rig offroad, I would replace with at least Bilstein 5100s. Bilstein 5100s has shocks to accomodate lifted applications. As far as the struts, you should discuss with RC. There are only a few running the 3.5 RC and hopefully they will chime in.

Parking garages may be an issue. With my smaller kit, I need to make sure the garage height limit is at least 6'10".
