While you're in there, you might as well replace the fuel spider and gaskets - will save you some money in the long run and the upgraded gaskets and fuel spider gives better reliability.

I have a Spectra Cold Air Intake which uses the original intake box on the TB, will it clear the hood if I were to do the Vmax upgrade? Just wondering because im going to be getting into the top end with new Intake Manifold Gaskets , along with a fuel spider and a compcam rocker set.

Sorry to thread jack.

unknown at this time.
May need some tricky measurements. If you have some playdough or something around make a ball the diameter of the height of spacer. Set it in highest point of intake and close and open hood. Any deformation?

300 vmax spacer
250 upgraded spider(Amazon)
100 gaskets and such
300 installation
for 20 hp and 20 ft pounds of torque

I would(when the 5.7 dies) just buy a low mile 5.3 or 6.0 and do the swap.....Just my opinion

I found the vmax for 250. Save some money and install your self. I do see your point but new motor will run you a grand but need to make sure it runs fine and then price for install will run another grand with needing to get pices here and there for all the surprise stuff that allways come up with a motor swap.

I'm just going to be fixing what absolutely needs to be fixed and pass on any upgrades for the time being. I can't afford to spend any money elsewhere .

I installed the vmax spacer and also the spider at the same time, took me about 4 hours.
