i have an 03 denali with the bose system and stock in dash screen and nav. curious if there are any aftermarket in dash screens that will give me everything i have now but with an updated look... i want it to have nav (but not have to buy a 300 dollar update cd), dvd, and i want to be able to use my stock steering wheel controls and possibly even my 6 disc changer... any good recommendations? i know this is dumb but trying not to break the bank too ******* this one...

even if i have to give up the navi, i guess i will and just get a tomtom or nuvi.... definatly want the steering wheel buttons to work and all

steering wheel controls can usually be retained with an IR adapter, have done this in 5 or 6 vehicles, but different adapters support different manufacturers head units, so you have to mix and match correctly...

only issue with the IR adapters is some headunits...like the Pioneer F-series...do not have IR Remotes. They have no remotes. There are other adapters, as I have one, but the commands don't match 100%. The "talk" button on my steering wheel is actually now an Attenuator / Mute switch. Actually kind of handy.
