I drive a tahoe that was doing pretty good on gas mileage with just a hp tune , no cats and efans.......then I added some some longtube headers shortly after I installed some 410 gears then I installed a cam with the 918 springs and some 7.4 pushrods.....and mpgs took a major dump......it's horrible on gas I hardly even used it so I went and bought me a daily driver.....a 2005 chrysler 300.......my tahoe gets hardly any use......i keep on hearing it's probably my tune that's killing me but not shure.....i was thinking of just removing my cam kit and the 410 gears.....and just make it look nicer.........any body running similar mods and running into the same problem ?.......btw i always have my tune ups current on it......and i don't drive around like a maniac either......jaja......

any suggestions would be appreciated

Ya......my tuner said I didn't need to wideband tune it though.....since I supposedly "don't need it since I don't have enough mods "........i don't agree with him....he's been my tuner for like 4 years.....i do know why he wouldn't want me to get wideband

gears/stall and cam will do this

this X 10

in that same order.

so loose the gears 1st - biggest difference

stall - will loose mpg, but once in lockup it will be the same mileage

cam - is going to make it want to rev out more, and shift the powerband higher.

if your after mileage. loose the gears, and that cam would prob work okay with stock stall.

dont just start switching parts either. I would get a new tuner. check your 02 sensors while your at it.
