I want to order a set of LED tails for my 02 tahoe. I found then in 2 styles. 1 style is similar to factory where the reverse light is in the middle and the other style the reverse light is on the bottom. Will either style work?

either will work. Most go with the reverse on bottom. IMO, it looks better

Here's a pic with mine. Looks good. Super bright with the LEDs.

Love your ride. Partial to the blue of course.

I would love to have LED tails, but Ive seen some(probably El Cheapos) that there is literally minimal difference between the running light and brake light, or turn signal and running light. I guess you get what you pay for with LEDs? I hate not knowing if someone is braking or not. so what are some good brands? also what about doing clear(still red tinted) and adding LED bulbs.

Mine are Spyders. Had a discount at the time I ordered them from www.autoanything.com. The Reds are very bright and easy to see when turning or braking. I have the white LED bulb from www.superbrightleds.com

Even with 5% tint I have no problems seeing where to back up. Not even a comparison to the OEM halogen bulbs. Initially I ran the LED bulbs in the OEM light housings and the light output was great.

I also have the one with reverse light on the bottom. The order of the bulb sockets top to bottom is different from stock so the wiring can be a bit tight. I actually had to get a right tail light harness from a pickup in order to make it work. Could have cut and extended my factory harness, but I didn't want to do that.
