The air in our 1999 Tahoe was blowing cool but not ice cold. I had a can of the Arctic Freeze 134a stuff laying around and figured I'd give it a go. I've used this stuff in previous Tahoes with good results. One thing I didn't realize is the opinion of people that say NOT to use the products with the "fix a leak" formula. This particular can had it, and I didn't realize it until after I used it. The truck took about 1/2 a can (maybe 10-12 ounces) and the air is now very cold. Low-side pressure steady around 28-30psi. So, what's the worst that could now happen? I had no idea that some of these products could do more harm than good, even in a 17 year old truck. Thanks for any input or advice.

the leak additive could block the orifice tube opening or txv valve.

Thank you. It looks like the IDQ products contain a "system safe" additive that only conditions and swells the o-rings and seals and doesn't do what a traditional "stop leak" does.
