Greetings to everyone,

Im going to be getting an '01 Black Tahoe LT, 2WD, only 39,000miles!!
All stock, just escalade wheels, I was thinking of trying that duplicolor black chrome on the wheels, anyone ever try that?

I am probably going to put a grand into the truck as soon as i get it, and want some ideas on what to do: exhaust, intake, lift, lower, headlights/taillights........?
Im thinking first:
mbrp catback
intake
ssbc rotors and pads
headers

I'm more of into the blacked out lifted look, but lowered tahoes look sick too and definitely cheaper to do than a 6" lift. My bro has a colorado that was lowered, cnotched, kw coilovers, sway bars, what a pain to do, it was super fun but he got sick of it quick, and now its lifted.... but the tahoes don't seem as impractical with just a 2/3 drop.

First thing is too remove all the badges and get it detailed, but I had a question about the door trim, is that just adhesive, how easy is that to get off? And there are no alignment holes on any of the badges right?

If you like lifted, you don't always have to go with a 6" lift right out the gate. You can compomise and purchase some rims (Black) like you want them, and a Rough Country leveling kit. A good website for more information on what we call a "Key and Spacer" lift would be http://www.z71tahoe-suburban.com

Those are great and knowledgeable people there. They can really point you in the right direction.

However, if your not sure what way you want to go yet, then look around at some different Tahoe's that are blacked out in both lifted and lowered forms. Do some research before you make a final decision.

Now, for you first mods...

Free things:
De-Badge and De-Mold (Great mod, easy, and looks great either way)

My reccomendations for first mods are this-

1. System (Audio)
2. Exhaust
3. Clear Corners / HIDS
4. Wheels
5. BB Tune

That is my personal list of mods I would do first. Im sure some others will chime in and share their opinions.
