quick question

My fan stopped blowing in the front of the Tahoe, and so when I went to look at the blower down by the passengers feet, I noticed the wire clip was really hot, and melting in front of my eyes. The black ground wire burnt all the way through... Anyone know what this is and how to replace it?

pics? Are you talking about your radiator fan or the blower? Burnt thru wire isulation/wire would mean among other things, you have a bad circuit breaker/relay/fuse. Passenger side? probably your blower motor shorting out/overheating drawing too much current and your circuit breaker/relay not operating properly therefore continued current causing overheating of wire and melting insulation. I'd start with the relays/breakers/fuses (check)..

Its your blower resistior module. It is a simple part to replace, go to your dealer and their anyware from 60-100 bucks. simple as pie to change.

okay this is the wire harness that is getting really hot

now I am pretty sure that is the blower motor, and that is the power source that it getting very hot to the point where it melts. But how do I know which relay to look at? I have checked to see if they look unusual, but how can you really tell if they are bad?

from the looks of it, it looks like the wire maybe? or the harness it snaps into. If the blower went bad, would it cause the wires to burn like that?
