2000 Yukon XL. The ABS and brake warning lights have been coming on for a while now. Fuses were fine - called a mechanic buddy and he said it was the ABS module, and that it would be around $1500 to replace, but it would still be okay to drive without it. Recently the battery went dead. I changed it out and drove it for the day, but by the next morning it was dead again. Figuring that the ABS module could be the culprit, I went ahead and found a cheap one and replaced it - didn't work. So, since I was told that it wouldn't hurt to drive without the module (and because I was getting fed up), I unplugged the module and removed the 60 amp ABS fuse, hoping it would break the circuit that might be drawing from the battery. Now when I have the battery somewhat charged and I get in to start it up, the gauges start moving (the fuel gage being the most violent) and the AC will sometimes kick on by itself; keep in mind the key is in my hand and nowhere near the ignition. Any ideas?

I would say if stuff is turning on with out a key in then something is very wrong in the ignition switch circuits or a remote starter gone hay wire.
