Radio issues

I have a 2003 Chevy tahoe lt and my radio is acting up. I have the Bose system. If I just get in and turn the key on I get no sound out of the radio but the radio functions. If I remove the negative cable and reinstall it the radio works fine till I shut it off. Anyone have any idea what could be the issue and how I can fix it. Thank you in advance.

Did you ever get a fix for this problem? I get no sound for at least 15-20 min from my 2003 Yukon Bose setup, then it suddenly comes on. Been intermittent but worsening for past 2 yrs
