Radio won't shut off after opening door

I have a 2004 Yukon and half the time I get out of the truck my radio keeps running. If I open the back door it shuts off. I was hoping someone had an idea before I tore it apart.

Pull the panel with the window and door lock switches out and make sure all connectors are seated correctly and tight. Then test it again and let us know what happens.

I have also recently noticed this in my yukon.. didn't do this before

It's because the door lock inside the door is malfunctioning and not triggering the switch to let your truck know the doors open. Your interior lights don't turn on either when this happens, correct?

If that's the case, you can always get some electronic grease spray and spray it and hope that works. If not, you'll need a new lock mechanism.
