Random smells of gas

While driving lately, I have randomly been getting strong smells of gas. It does not happen every day. It has happened while both empty and full. Has this ever happened to any of you guys? What would cause this?

Yeah, this usually happens to me when I eat a lot of Mexican food, lol.

No probs I was laughing internally as I was typing this. Mexican doesn't do that to me anymore. Got to cut down on my bean intake though.

Does your gas gauge go down faster than usual? You might have a gas leak under the hood. Check your fuel lines. This is one of those problems where it's difficult to evaluate without actually being there.

It is going down a little quicker and my mileage has dropped from 16.3 city to about 15.8 but I have been putting my foot in it lately. I will take a good look in the morning as I was thinking it had to be a problem with fuel injection/delivery process.
