I reinstalled the u joints that my local mechanic did because the vibration was terrible. Took the shaft out and they were both tight as hell. When I did them, they both seemed to move freely (rear and slip yoke). It's been very smooth for couple weeks now. I just changed out the front differential fluid and transfer case fluid (proper blue gm stuff), filled both until they ran out of the fill plug. Running down the highway around 70 and the vibration good pretty noticeable, slowed down so it wouldn't self destruct, ran it back up to that speed later and it wasn't nearly as noticeable. Then it would be later again. What could be going on here? Its not consistent at all. Does anything up front turn when its in 2 WD? Only thing i haven't done to the truck is change out the rear fluid yet, hopefully sometime this week, weather permitting. Thanks for any input.
Oh, BTW, I have a 99 obs Escalade (same as Tahoe).
