I have noticed a fast rapid ticking noise coming from under my escalade near the fuel tank. It is not RPM dependant so it can't be engine related. I replaced the fuel pump this February with a new A.C. Delco unit so I can't imagine that it's already dieing out. No problems starting, it runs great and idles fine. I occasionally get a tighten fuel cap message on the display, the cap is new. I pulled the ABS fuse just to verify it wasn't the ABS pump pulsing (just replaced all the brake lines) so I'm pretty sure it's fuel system related. All the factory air suspension was removed a couple years ago so I can obviously rule out that system as well. Beyond the annoying tick everything seems to be fine. Any ideas?

The charcoal canister and purge valves and stuff are down there too. Seems like you have a leak. What trouble codes are you getting?

I'll have to get the codes read. I've had a CEL on ever since I put my Black Bear PCM in and have not gone to the dealer to "relearn" it. I'm not seeing any fuel leaks nor do I smell raw fuel.

If you have Onstar you get the codes from them. I don't understand about Black Bear, what do you mean you have to relearn at the dealer???

Older models can just swap the pcm thru black bear with a tune in them already. You order one tuned, remove yours and send it back. Supposedly you need to have dealer do a crank relearn WITHOUT flashing the pcm...or obviously you lose the tune.
